About Wisconsin Futures

Across Wisconsin, families, farmers, and workers are feeling the strain of rising costs, budget cuts, and decisions made far from home. Healthcare, food assistance, schools, family farms, and local jobs are all under pressure. These challenges are real, but so is our ability to face them when we stand together.

These challenges are being driven by federal policies coming out of Washington, decisions that may feel distant but have very real consequences here at home. From classrooms to farms to Main Street businesses to kitchen tables, communities across Wisconsin are bearing the weight of choices made far from our borders.

Real families are choosing between medical bills and groceries. It’s a farmer trying to find viable markets. It’s a student losing access to afterschool programs or mental health support. These stories remind us what’s at stake, and what we can protect if we act together.

That’s why we need to come together, as neighbors, as communities, and as a state, to share the facts, to look out for one another, and to ensure Wisconsin’s future is one where families thrive and towns stay strong.

Wisconsin Futures was created to put people, families, and communities first. Across the state, people are feeling the strain of rising costs, vanishing local services, and farms under pressure. These challenges aren’t inevitable, they stem from choices that benefit the wealthy and well-connected while leaving everyday Wisconsinites behind.

Our state has always thrived on hard work, fairness, and neighbors looking out for one another. Those traditions are under threat today, especially in rural towns where one closed hospital, one underfunded school, one shuttered dairy farm, or one lost employer can ripple through an entire community.

Together with the Wisconsin Farmers Union Foundation, we believe in a better path, one where families have what they need to succeed, communities stay strong, and every generation has a fair shot at a good life. By sharing the facts, lifting up real stories, and standing together across race, class, and party, we can protect Wisconsin’s promise for the future.
